St Marks School opened in 1879 and is situated in the village of Scarisbrick on the A570, Southport Road. The school is in a pleasant rural area between Southport and Ormskirk. The building is the original Victorian school, extended in 2001, 2004 and 2012. We cater for children from 4 to 11 years, with a maximum of 105 children on the role. There are excellent links with the church and community.
Our school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. We create a safe, happy, caring environment where individuals feel valued and special. Our distinctively Christian values of love, peace, trust, responsibility, equality, generosity and forgiveness are made explicit and are deeply embedded into the daily life of our school.
'The distinctive Christian ethos permeates all aspects of school life and has an outstanding impact on pupils' personal development.'
