Friday 18th November 2016 – St Mark’s CE Primary School, Scarisbrick
Over the past couple of weeks the children have been raising money for the well-known charity, Children In need.
All of the children relate to this charity very well with the Pudsey bear as their main mascot. Year 5 & 6 pupils have been selling wristbands and Pudsey keyrings to the rest of the school each morning in our school hall as children and parents arrive.
Our children understand that they are very fortunate but many other children in the UK and further afield are not. Each year we learn about children and their families with daily problems and that is why this charity is one we continue to support in school.
In addition to the selling of Children In Need merchandise, raffle tickets were also sold to raise money with the opportunity to win some extra special Pudsey goodies.
It has been a busy time but most rewarding and we are delighted to be able to say we helped raise a small part of that £46 million!
