Samaritan Purse Operation Christmas Child Appeal.

Wednesday 16th November 2016 – St Mark’s CE Primary School, Scarisbrick

St Mark’s have been collecting items and making shoeboxes for the Samaritan Purse Operation Christmas Child appeal.

In school and church every year we ask that those who can wrap and fill a shoebox with items that will make a child’s Christmas who may not get anything. Items such as tooth brushes, soap, combs, pens, pencils, yo-yos, wind up torches, toy cars were included as well as a main gift such as a doll or football.

The boxes are collected wrapped but not sealed and taken to the Samaritans Purse sorting offices for processing. The donator of the box also covers the £3.00 shipping and handling costs, if prepaid online the boxes can be tracked.

Some of our children included a Christmas card, letter and a photo so the recipient know who has thought about them this Christmas.
